At last a thread I can claim to have knowledge of.
Howdens are good and if ordered in October you will get a really good deal as its their sale period ( known as P11 ) but the trick is get your quote now and then hold fire until the last week of October when the branch managers are desperate and trust me they get really desperate due to the pressure of their bosses. They will phone you personally and beg you to buy it before the end of October.
As for worktops there is only one place to buy granite or Quartz from and that's me 😀

Wickes kitchens are circa 40% cheaper with Benchmarx, they are part of the same group and technically trade only. But they are likely to want the business, *taps nose*

Agree with HH. DIY kitchens well built, come already assembled, well priced and site reasonably easy to get round.

Also, Homebase weren't bad but you have to really knock them down, B&Q prices are great but they are an absolute nightmare to deal with.

Magnet and Wickes are overpriced thundercunts.
Howdens are good if you have a kitchen fitter that uses them A LOT, otherwise avoid.
Ours came from DIY Kitchens, the quality is absolutely superb, soft closing cupboards as standard.
Our kitchen has about 16 units and it came in around £6k (not including fitting) Howdens wanted about £8k and Wickes about £12k.
